Description This class explores the content and symbolism of religion in art. Start with an iconic view of Jesus, Mary and Joseph, adding symbols and references from biblical times, then move to an angel, and follow along step-by-step from a supplied photo reference, learning to create textures like halos, feathers, and symbols. Then diverge personalizing your angel to fit your own view (memorialize a relative). Last explore the concept of God and do a portrait of the being you talk to in your prayers, (or work from a supplied reference of Listening Jesus). Draw from your imagination and create dreamy spiritual paintings that will add serenity to your studio during the chaos of the holiday
