Plein Air in Tuscany Italy

Join Shawn for a week of painting while immersed in the beauty of Tuscany!

Learn how to determine what to paint using Notans and thumbnail sketches to create composition. Get your own special tool set for plein air painting (provided), learn how to make a value sketch, then matching color to values, for a color study, and painting a finished plein air painting of the same scene. Different sites each day with “how to” demos in the morning, followed by step-by-step instruction so you can try it. After an Italian lunch, paint with one-on-one help for the afternoon using the tools and techniques from that morning. After a delicious meal, participants gather for a group display of the day’s work.
