Wallkill River School (Formerly"Landscapes on Location") is a plein air painting workshop held throughout the mid-Hudson area on organic farms, & historic sites. Open to all media and levels of ability, workshops begin with a demonstration and end with a group critique & picnic. Beginning artists are often paired with experienced painters in their medium, and individual attention is given to all. Demonstrations by 12 well-known regional artists who's work follows in the the Hudson River School tradition. We host two benefit auctions during the painting season for nonprofits. This gives you a chance to meet art collectors, talk about your work, and make sales. Participants can sign up for as many/few classes they want from May-Nov. Classes are held on site on sundays from 9:30 am until 12 noon, critique & picnic from 12-1pm
