These paintings depict an overlooked source of women's power, the power to birth, and nurture the next inhabitants of our planet. Perhaps if women were valued for this amazing gift, and women's work was counted by the census & gross national product, our society would be less misogynist, and more child-centered. It is this philosophy, that children are our most important contribution to the world, that inspires this series of work.
